At MTI Creations, we spend a lot of time turning pieces of wood into something people can actually enjoy, and our newest creations are all about bringing a little old-school fun back to the table.

Our new collection of handcrafted wooden games and puzzles includes classic favorites and challenging brain teasers designed for kids, adults, families, and anyone who could use a little less screen time and a little more friendly competition.

From a quick game of Tic-Tac-Toe to trying to leave just one marble on the board—or convincing a tiny steel ball to go where you actually want it to go—these games prove you don't need batteries, Wi-Fi, or a charging cable to have a good time.

And like everything we make at MTI Creations, each game starts right here in our shop and is made one at a time.

A Classic That Never Gets Old

There’s a reason Tic-Tac-Toe has been around forever. It takes about ten seconds to learn, games are quick, and somehow nobody ever gets too old to play “just one more.”

Our Handcrafted Wooden Tic-Tac-Toe Game takes that classic and gives it the MTI treatment. The solid wood board has a routed playing area, black and white game pieces, and built-in storage around the board so the pieces have somewhere to live when the game is over.

It’s small enough to leave on a coffee table or game-room shelf, which usually means somebody is going to pick it up and challenge whoever happens to be sitting nearby.

Simple Rules. Surprisingly Difficult.

Our Handcrafted Wooden Triangle Solitaire Game is one of those games that looks easy—right up until you start playing it.

The idea is simple: jump one piece over another into an empty space, remove the piece you jumped, and keep going. The challenge is figuring out how to finish with as few pieces left on the board as possible. Getting down to just one? That's when you earn bragging rights.

The colorful playing pieces and solid wood triangular board make it a fun little game to keep on a desk, coffee table, or game-room shelf. It's also perfect for those moments when you want a quick challenge without staring at another screen.

And if you end up with six pieces left and swear the game is impossible, don't worry—you'll probably pick it right back up five minutes later and try again. 😂

The Classic Marble Challenge

Our Handcrafted Wooden Marble Solitaire Game takes the classic solitaire challenge and gives it a larger, solid-wood home. The round board is paired with glass marbles, making it as nice to leave sitting out on the coffee table as it is to play.

The goal sounds easy: jump one marble over another into an empty space, remove the marble you jumped, and keep going until you can't make another move. The real challenge is finishing with as few marbles as possible—and the ultimate goal is getting all the way down to just one.

This is one of those games where you’ll finish, look at the marbles you have left, and immediately think, “Okay... I know where I messed up.” Then you're starting another round. 😂

This handcrafted wooden game is a great choice for puzzle lovers, family game rooms, offices, or anyone who enjoys a challenge that doesn't require an app, controller, or instruction manual.

Think You Have a Steady Hand?

Our Handcrafted Wooden Maze Game with Steel Ball looks simple enough: grab the handles, tilt the board, and guide the small steel ball through the routed maze from start to finish.

Then the steel ball reminds you that it's actually in charge. 😂

Every turn requires a little patience and a steady hand as you work through the twists, turns, and dead ends. Go too fast and that little ball is perfectly happy to head somewhere you never intended.

It's a fun screen-free challenge for kids and adults, and because you're controlling the maze by tilting the entire board, it's a completely different experience from our other wooden games.

Each maze is made right here in the MTI Creations shop, starting with a piece of wood and spending some quality time on the CNC before it's sanded, finished, and ready to test your patience.

How We Make Our Handcrafted Wooden Games

One of our favorite parts of creating these games is that they don't arrive at MTI Creations already looking like games. They start as ordinary pieces of wood in our shop.

For many of our designs, the CNC does the heavy cutting and routing—creating the game boards, holes, tracks, and maze pathways with the accuracy we need. But that's only part of the process.

Once they come off the machine, there's still plenty of hands-on work to do. Each piece is sanded, cleaned up, inspected, and finished before the playing pieces or marbles are added and the game is ready to leave the shop.

And yes, we test them. Quality control occasionally requires playing games at work. It's a sacrifice we're willing to make. 😂

That's one of the things we love about making products like these. You get to see an ordinary piece of wood turn into something a family can put on the table, play together, and hopefully keep around for years.
